Levent Sands (St. Augustine): Came up big for the visiting Yellow Jackets in the season opening win over host Trinity Christian. Sands rushed for 58 yards and on 11 carries in addition to catching four passes for 121 yards and all four touchdowns.

Offensive
Derrick Henry (Yulee): Broke two area rushing records in a loss to state power Gainesville accumulating 336 yards and 3 touchdowns on 31 carries.

Defensive
Ray Broom (First Coast): Returned a fumble 28-yards for a score, fell on fumble in end zone for another touchdown.

Iron Man
Josh Moore (Ridgeview): Accounted for 244 total yards, 3 rushing touchdowns, 1 passing touchdown, 4 point after attempts, 1 field goal

Special teams
Nick Vogel (Mandarin): Vogel missed a 54-yard field goal with 20 seconds remaining, but two personal foul calls running into the kicker and unsportsmanlike conduct on the attempt allowed Vogel to nail a 20-yard field and give Mandarin a 22-20 win over host Atlantic Coast, stopping a ten game losing streak.
