Week 2: First Coast rankings

1. Fletcher (2-0)
Results: def. Bishop Kenny 35-9
Outlook: Senators show Crusaders who is the best team in the area in a showdown of two of the top ranked local teams.
This week: Atlantic Coast (1-1)

2. Bolles (2-0)
Results: def. American Heritage 30-27
Outlook: All the visiting Stallions had to do was take a knee in victory formation and they stun state power Bolles, instead a last minute fumble helps host Bolles rally for win.
This week: at Crestview

3. St. Augustine (2-0)
Results: def. Menendez 27-0
Outlook: Led by the duo of quarterback Sandon Mims (229 yards, 3 TDs) and wide receiver Bobby Mitchell (7 catches for 111 yards), the Yellow Jackets had little problem beating Menendez for the 12 consecutive time.
This week: Nease (1-1)

4. Sandalwood (2-0)
Results: def. Wolfson 41-12
Outlook: Trio of quarterback Parker Boehme (375 yards, 4 TDs), receiver Desean Blair (5 catches for 140 yards, 2 TDs) and tailback Mike White (105 yards and 1 TD on 12 carries) was too much for the Wolfpack.
This week: Trinity Christian (1-1)

5. First Coast (2-0)
Results: def. Bayside 17-3
Outlook: Defense set the tone recovering four turnovers (three fumbles, interception) while allowing just 200 yards of offense.
This week: at Jackson (2-0)

6. Union County (2-0)
Results: def. Interlachen 42-0
Outlook: Prince Alexander capped off quite an impressive night (112 yards and 2 TDs on 8 carries) taking an interception back 102 yards on the game’s final play.
This week: at Keystone Heights (2-0)

7. Ridgeview (2-0)
Results: def. Clay 30-21
Outlook: Panthers crack the poll for the first time after knocking off Creekside and Clay.
This week: Palatka (1-0)

8. Trinity Christian (1-1)
Results: was idle
Outlook: A week off after a close loss at home to St. Augustine might help the Conquerors this week with their huge showdown with 8A Sandalwood.
This week: at Sandalwood (2-0)

9. Columbia (1-1)
Results: fell to Gainesville 17-14
Outlook: Tigers played one of the state’s best teams down to the wire and should learn from it and go on a roll.
This week: at Buchholz (1-1)

10. Bishop Kenny (1-1)
Results: fell to No. 1 Fletcher 35-9
Outlook: Crusaders shown there is still a lot of work needed to become one of the areas elite teams.
This week: Episcopal (1-0)
