2009 Record: 7-4
The Coach: Bobby Ramsay
The Players: Derrick Henry (So., RB/LB), Kevin Rainey (Jr., TE), Connor Petty (Sr., QB), Derrick Peterson (Sr., WR), Antario Rainey (Sr., WR/DB), Jeremy Deberry (Sr., DE), Jake Green (Sr., DB), Chris Rumsey (Sr., WR), Kenny Stewart (Sr., OL), Abe Gingery (Sr., OL), Jose Guilarte (Sr., OL)
The Word: Derrick Henry came out on nowhere to lead the area in rushing as a freshman with 2480 yards and 22 touchdowns, including two 300-yard plus games. Through 11 games only two teams (Bolles, West Nassau) held Henry out of the end zone. The good news is Ramsay won’t have to rely just on Henry on offense as the Hornets return explosive players Kevin Rainey, Petty, Peterson and Antario Rainey. The offense may have to outscore teams as the Hornets must replace as many as eight defensive starters.
