To get us through the rest of the summer, I will rank all the teams in my viewing area (Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Hamilton, Lafayette, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns and Suwannee counties) a total of 60 schools.
No. 59 Cedar Creek Christian Soliders
Head Coach: Randy Howell (fourth season)
2009 Record: N/A
Last time in playoffs: None
Key returners: Scott Armstrong (Sr., LB/QB/RB), Brandon Hodges (So., LB), Hezekiah Lucas (Jr., QB/DE), Domique Davis (Sr., CB/WR)
News: Howell’s west coast offense has fared better showing steady improvement as the Soldiers put up points and even managed a 50-12 win over Lake Wales Vanguard. Three years ago in the inaugural season, the Soldiers were shut out five of their six games and was outscored 269-6. After two years of playing in the independent league, the Soldiers made the move last season to district play joining 1B and were pounded by every team. Howell made the move in the off-season to go back to independent play, a smart move.
